Charitable Donation Requests
The Ohio Wine Producers Association (OWPA) is proud of its support of charitable organizations and youth organizations. The owners of OWPA have all been active in local charitable fundraising with various organizations. Therefore, we personally recognize the dedication and efforts that individuals contribute to help these organizations in the thankless job of fundraising.
OWPA receives scores of requests for donation requests. In order to streamline the process for charitable organizations and the staff at OWPA, we have developed criteria to get these donations out to deserving causes.
Donation Criteria
Ohio law does not allow wine donations.
We limit our responses to recognized organizations and not individuals. For example, if a church or a 503 charitable organization is sponsoring a fundraiser for a family or individual who has a legitimate need, we certainly would consider that a legitimate request.
We do not donate cash or purchase paid “sponsorships” or purchase charitable tickets.
We DO donate gift certificates and similar items.
Requests must be made through this website by filling out the Donation Form.
Please note that we need a letter, flier, or other information uploaded with the form.
How to request a donation
Click the link at the bottom of this page that states DONATION REQUEST SUBMISSION
Fill out ALL blanks, providing an EMAIL ADDRESS and of course a MAILING ADDRESS for the certificate to be sent.
Attach a flier or letter that shows the actual fundraising activity
Please make sure you make your request at least six weeks before your event.
Our Response
Due to the sheer volume of requests, we cannot individually respond to faxes, phone calls, or mailed letters. While you are welcome to contact us with a request, THE ON LINE FORM STILL MUST BE FILLED OUT.
Likewise, If you drop off a flier or letter in person, the ON LINE Donation Form must still be filled out and the flier or letter attached.
After receiving your request, we will provide the donation approximately three weeks after receipt via mail.
