This is the first of the series of wine and food events designed to showcase some of the great wines we grow beyond the traditional Riesling, Cabernet and Chardonnay. These exceptional, award-winning grapes are producing wines that are sometimes labeled with the grape variety, sometimes with a proprietary name to tell a story.
Each wine and food pairing dinner will feature three Schott Zwiesel “Pure” glasses and guests will take home a set of these award-winning stems which retail for about $45. Winemakers will be on hand to discuss how the wine complements each course and how the stemware enhances the overall experience.
At the Vineyards at Pine Lake featuring award-winning wines from the Vineyards at Pine Lake, Columbiana, Lincoln Way Vineyards, Wooster, and Maize Valley Winery, Hartville. Chef Gabbert at Pine Lake will be preparing the dishes designed to complement these wines. The wines featured will be:
o Lincoln Way Vineyards: Slightly Carbonated, Twelve Forty-Five Silver

o The Vineyards at Pine Lake: Signature Red, Frontenac
▪ Bronze Medal - entrée
o Maize Valley Winery: Hybrid White: Blend, Reserve Blanc
▪ Double Gold Medal and Best in Show -- entrée
o The Vineyards at Pine Lake: Dessert: Fortified, Cold Front -
▪ Gold Medal - dessert
Only 50 tickets will be available so the dinner will sell out.
The cost is $199 per couple and $109 per single ticket. Guests will take home the three pieces of Schott Zwiesel stemware which retails for $45. Wines will also be available to take home to re-create the experience.
