Christy Eckstein

Christy Eckstein is the longtime executive director of the Grape Industries Committee.  She grew up on a dairy farm and was active, through her high school years in FFA and graduated from the Ohio State University.  She went to work for the Ohio Department of Agriculture in the early 2000’s, moved through several positions, and was named Executive Director of the OGIC in 2007. 

Since that time, she has worked tirelessly to support marketing, research and production efforts as the Ohio industry grew in leaps and bounds.  She was instrumental in developing new and innovative programs in conjunction with talented collaborators. 

In 2023, while maintaining her commitment to and loyalty for the OGIC, Christy was named Director of Markets for the Ohio Department of Agriculture.  She and her husband Aaron have two children and live in the Columbus area.
