Todd Steiner
Todd Steiner currently is the state outreach specialist for the Ohio commercial wine industry. Initially, he was involved with both research and extension for quality wine production but has recently moved to all extension due to the growing size of the commercial wine industry in Ohio. He collaborates with all of the industry sectors involved with grapes and wine. He co-organizes the annual Ohio Grape and Wine Conference and the annual Ohio Wine Competition, as well as organizing industry workshops. He is a well-respected wine judge serving in prestigious competitions around the country. He is often a featured presenter at both in-state and out-of-state meetings always sharing the positive aspects of the Ohio industry. Todd earned a BS in biology from Tabor College and his AS Science from Hesston, all in Kansas. While in college, he was a Division 1 baseball star. He has worked for the Ohio State University on the Wooster Campus of the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center since 1989.
